The trailer for Devara is out, and it promises a high-octane action-packed movie featuring all the elements of a true mass masala entertainer. The promo showcases not one, but two versions of Jr NTR — portraying Devara and his son. Joining him in the cast are Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, playing pivotal roles.
The much-anticipated trailer for Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, has finally been unveiled, offering fans an electrifying preview of what’s in store. Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor headline this action drama, and the trailer hints at all the ingredients needed for a blockbuster.
The 159-second video opens with an introduction to a fearsome group of people. As one character asks about them, it is revealed that this gang, led by Saif Ali Khan’s character, operates without regard for caste or religion and knows no fear. “Their eyes, which once only saw bravery, are now filled with fear,” one character ominously remarks, setting the tone for a gripping confrontation. The trailer teases, “This is the story of the Red Sea written in blood,” as we meet Devara. Saif’s character, referring to Devara, says, “As long as you are here, this mountain will bow only to you.”

Interestingly, the film will feature two versions of Jr NTR, playing both Devara and his son. While Devara’s son is initially described as ‘harmless,’ with Janhvi Kapoor’s character noting, “He inherited his father’s looks but not his bravery,” the trailer reveals that the son eventually finds himself thrust into a dangerous world he once feared. The action sequences teased in the promo are intense, hinting at a thrilling storyline while maintaining a sense of mystery.
Janhvi Kapoor makes her South Indian cinema debut with Devara, which has been a hot topic ever since its announcement back in April 2021. The film has already generated buzz with the release of three songs: the mass anthem “Fear Song,” the romantic number “Chuttamalle,” and the high-energy track “Daavudi.” With the release of the official trailer, excitement for the film has only grown, especially with Jr NTR’s return to the big screen following the global success of RRR in 2022.
Alongside the lead trio, the movie features an ensemble cast including Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko in key roles. Set to be released in two parts, Devara’s first chapter will hit the screens on September 27. The film is a joint production of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with cinematography by Rathnavelu ISC, music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, production design by Sabu Cyril, and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
